A single skein of DyeForYarn Mulberry Silk Fingering in Long Past Midnight — a saturated, near-black navy with the deep watercolour shimmer that only high-grade mulberry silk gives back. 100 g / 364 yd in one hand-dyed German skein, ready for a luminous fingering-weight shawl, a stitch-pattern collar, or a small luxury accessory where the silk does the showing.

This listing is for one skein of DyeForYarn Mulberry Silk Fingering in the colourway Long Past Midnight. One of one.

About the yarn:

DyeForYarn’s Mulberry Silk Fingering (Maulbeerseide, Cordonnet construction) is a 100% cultivated mulberry silk fingering — 100 g / 333 m / 364 yd per skein. Cultivated mulberry is the long-staple, glass-smooth side of the silk family: deep sheen, heavy drape, and the kind of luminous, watered colour that hand-dye loves. A natural choice for a fingering-weight lace shawl, a stitch-pattern accessory, or held with a fingering wool for a silk-haloed sock or hat. Recommended around US 1–3 / 2.25–3.25 mm. Handgefärbt — hand-wash cool, lay flat to dry.

About DyeForYarn:

DyeForYarn is the small German hand-dye studio of Nicole Weißmantel and Tanja Steinbach, working out of Berlin in a tight catalogue of silk and wool bases. They’re known for deep, complex tonals that read different in every light and a song-title sensibility for naming — Long Past Midnight fits the studio perfectly. This is their mulberry side: smooth, glass-bright silk that takes their darker dyes into near-black with a thread of indigo running through.
