Cultivated mulberry is the long-staple, glass-smooth side of the silk family: deep sheen, heavy drape, and the kind of luminous, watered colour that hand-dye loves. A natural choice for a fingering-weight lace shawl, a stitch-pattern accessory, or held with a fingering wool for a silk-haloed sock or hat. Recommended around US 1–3 / 2.25–3.25 mm.
